Jason Meyer

General Partner

As COO & Managing Partner, Jason combines passion and purpose as he collaborates with inventors and sourcing partners to bring life-changing healthcare innovations to life. By leading the operational and fund management vision for Waterston's operating companies and the Waterston Accelerator Fund, he helps get innovations off the shelf and into the hands of the people who need them most. Each day, he brings his strategic leadership to work to develop and execute Waterston's investment strategy and long-term goals, to oversee fund management (including raising capital), and to work with investor relations and limited partners. He also takes an active role in sourcing, investment decisions, portfolio management, corporate governance, and management of strategic partnerships.

A former U.S. Air Force Captain who led teams and projects designed to impact the warfighter, Jason learned valuable leadership and operations management skills during his service. The teams he built saved the Air Force over $750MM while meeting warfighter needs on time, on cost and on performance. When his life's goal of serving our country was accomplished, Jason turned his attention to his other passion: making healthcare more affordable, more accessible, and safer for both patients and clinicians. As a founding member and VP of Operations for VPL, a company committed to making the healthcare supply chain smarter and more efficient, Jason laid the groundwork for VPL's successful exit to private equity.

When not working to improve people's lives through better technology, Jason spends time with his wife Jennifer, their young children, and their Wheaton Terrier, Piper at their home in New Albany, Ohio. He is an avid philanthropist in both his community and the wider world, a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and a die-hard OSU Buckeyes fan.
